The scarce Sheldon 69 (#35690) variety is the final deployment of Reverse II and the first of two varieties to utilize Obverse 36. On this obverse, the lowest hair lock forms a distinct small circle, and there are five braided strands. The 1 and 7 in the date are double-cut. At the top of the portrait, the hair terminates directly below the bottom serif of the "T" in LIBERTY.
The reverse is distinguished by a double leaf positioned under the "O" in OF—a departure from the more common triple-leaf arrangement. Additionally, the "A" and "M" in AMERICA are slightly oversized, with the "A" being notably double-cut. Further diagnostics include a short fraction bar that fails to reach the tip of the denominator, a 6x7 berry count, and characteristic die damage visible above the wreath and below the ribbon knot.
