The 1795 O-120 Half Dollar is one of the rarest varieties of the year, and certainly one of the toughest die varieties of the entire series. Perhaps a dozen or so are known, but no one has compared pictures in auction catalogs to our knowledge, thus there may be fewer actual examples available to collectors. Until recently, the finest example known of this variety was estimated to be XF40. However, in 2015, Heritage sold an NGC MS62 example for $42,300 in January 2015 No other example comes close.
